The Background

Our client is a long established, successful, award-winning family business, engaged in the manufacturing of off-road vehicular equipment.

An essential and vital part of their manufacturing process, entails in-house shot blasting and powder coating. The line has never been offered as a sub-contracting facility.

Due to the continued growth in demand for their product range and a consequence of their commitment to continuous improvement and investment, our client has committed to purchase a brand new powder coating facility, which they plan to have operational in September 2022, thus rendering this, their existing facility (commissioned in August 2010), surplus to requirements.

What else do you need to know?

  • The maximum product size that has passed through this line is 4.8M (Long) x 1.5M (Wide) x 2M (Drop)
  • Location – South Of England
  • There is now an opportunity for you to carry out the necessary due diligence for the purchase of the line, or any of the constituent parts that make it up, and to secure your purchase prior to the line ceasing production (envisaged to be in August 2022) before the new line goes live in September 2022.
  • Our client is motivated to sell the line as a complete facility for convenience of sale, but is equally prepared to listen to offers for any single item or combination that makes up the line.
  • Dismantling and removal will be the responsibility of the buyer(s) and RAMS will be a necessary requirement of these activities.
  • There will need to be a level of flexibility on the part of any buyer(s) of the line or items that make up the line, or combination thereof, whilst our client transitions to their new line. Whilst our client will attempt to keep this to the minimum, this would be a condition of any sale(s).
